Personally Identifying Information

PMI Products: When you register to receive PMI products, whether free or paid (such as a purchase on our Career Portal), PMI may require that you supply information, including your full name, e-mail address, contact information, and a unique subscriber ID. PMI may also require demographic information (e.g., whether you are an attorney and for what type of entity you work). Customers must also agree to the Terms of Use applicable to the product or Services for which they are registering. In some instances, we also collect credit card information to bill subscribers for certain PMI products.

Anonymous Information

PMI may also gather anonymous information, which may be used by PMI or shared with third parties. This information does not personally identify you but may be helpful for improving the services we offer. Generally this information is collected through "traffic data" and may entail the use of "cookies," "IP addresses," or other numeric codes used to identify a computer.

Cookies: "Cookies" give users a special, random ID that are small text files, which are stored on the hard drive of a user's computer. PMI may employ cookies to recognize you and your access privileges for certain locations on the Web site, as well as to track site usage. Personal Information on Resumes and Profiles

Since is a career site, we give you three options regarding the accessibility of your resume:

  1. You can store your resume in our database, but not allow it to be searchable by potential employers. Not allowing your resume to be searchable means that you can use it to apply for a job online, but employers and recruiters will not have access to search it through our resume database product.
  2. If you allow your resume to be searchable without making it confidential and hiding your contact information, then all parties with access to our searchable resume database (or copies thereof) will have access to your resume.
  3. If you have a confidential resume, but apply to a job posting on the Web site or on, the employer to whom you send your resume will be able to view your contact information.

In addition, portions of your searchable resume (but not your contact information) may be made public in your profile (and/or your profile).

We attempt to limit access to our searchable resume database only to paying employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals, as well as law enforcement and national security agencies, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. We are not responsible for the use made of resumes by third parties who access such resumes while they are in our searchable database. However, the portions of your searchable resume (not your contact information) that are automatically made public in your profile may be accessible by employers who register with our Web site. Such portions of your searchable resume may also be accessible to anyone who uses the profile service. You may remove your resume from our Web site or delete your profile on at anytime, but, employers, recruiters and others who have paid for access to the Web site's resume database or to obtain a copy of that database or have paid for access to the services, as well as parties who have otherwise gained access may have retained a copy of your resume or profile in their own files or databases. Personally Identifying Information

PMI takes the privacy of its customers seriously. You have the ability to control how we use your personally identifying information by telling us if you wish to opt-out of certain uses of your information, as described in greater detail in the "Opting Out" provision below.

Vendors: PMI may on occasion use third-party vendors to assist it in performing its business functions, such as mailing statements to subscribers, editing user lists, processing data and payments, and providing customer service. Personal information may be shared with these businesses or individuals to allow them to perform their assigned functions, but is limited to that information needed to perform the assigned function, and may not be used for any other purpose. Anonymous Information

PMI also shares the information it gathers in a compiled format from time to time with certain of its partners. The compiled format does not include personally identifying information.
